They act as an alternative to spikes, hanging around underwater for the player to take damage from. They appear in a single stage in the game - the fourth stage in [[The Jungle]], [[Bikinos Bottos]].

Carved Spikes take the form of a blueish-grey stone circle with eight spikes protruding from it, as well as greenish stains, likely from water damage. At the very center of the circle is a highly detailed carving of a face, modeled after a somewhat tired expression.
