'''Stumps''' is a character adopted by [[User:GuyThatExists|GuyThatExists]] that appears in the [[:Category:Fanfiction|short story]] ''[[Fanon:The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three|The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three]]''. It also appears in ''[[Drawn to Life: Two Realms]]'' as an NPC in [[Rapoville]]. It is [[Fanon:Kyren|Kyren]]'s pet and was an important figure in the fight against [[Fanon:Allight|Allight]].

Stumps is first found as only the rat, hiding from [[Fanon:Banny|Banny]] underground. However, it is scooped up by [[Fanon:Ocean|Ocean]] and given to [[Fanon:Kyren|Kyren]] as a gift to cheer her up. Kyren names the rat Stumps and takes it home with her. The next morning, Kyren takes Stumps into the woods again, where it burrows into a tree stump. Stumps sees [[Fanon:Silas|Silas]], Kyren's adoptive brother, preparing to sneak up on her, so it begins to growl at him. This scares Kyren, but when Stumps walks over her, she watches Silas pass out in fear. She thanks Stumps and takes it back into the village.

Later, Kyren overhears Silas and [[Fanon:Mutt|Mutt]] talking about an adventure, so she uses Stumps to scare Silas away, taking his spot on the trip, and securing a spot for Stumps and Banny. Kyren and Mutt agree to stowaway on the [[Fanon:Bane of Kings|Bane of Kings]], and when the ship leaves for [[Watersong]], Stumps acts as an air bubble for Kyren, Banny, Mutt, and Silas as they swim over to the ship. Stumps attaches itself to the hull of the ship, and the kids climb inside. 

When the ship arrives at Watersong and is attacked by [[Fanon:Allight|Allight]]'s thralls, the kids run back inside Stumps, avoiding the light that Aldark used to enthrall everyone else on the ship. Stumps disconnects from the Bane of Kings as the ship is searched, and it starts to swim to an island, picking up [[Fanon:Eeny|Eeny]] and the [[Hero]] on the way there. On the island, Stumps rooted in the sand to rest while everyone else coped with what just happened. When [[Mari]] and [[Jowee]] arrive on [[Turtle Rock]] to rescue the group, Stumps roots itself to the ship's shell.

Turtle Rock then sails to [[Fanon:Ex-Isle]], and Stumps is stationed on the ship as a sentry to protect it from Allight's thralls on Ex-Isle. Eventually, when Allight teleports to the island to attack, part of her strategy is to kidnap Banny, who was sleeping on the ship, and enthralling Stumps, hiding them both in [[Creation Hall]]. Stumps and Banny are eventually found by everyone, and Stumps jumps onto Jowee, sending both of them crashing into the [[Forgotten Library]]. However, Stumps is cured using the power of [[Heather's Pendant]], and the two of them escape back onto Ex-Isle as Turtle Rock burns down. 

[[Fanon:Meeny|Meeny]], who had been left on the island with the [[Fanon:Ruby Earring|Ruby Earring]] during the fight, teleports the group, along with some cured exiles and guards, to [[Lavasteam]] for the final battle with Allight. During this battle, Kyren joins forces with Stumps to fight off Allight's troops. After Allight is defeated thanks to [[Fanon:Fext|Fext]]'s sacrifice, Stumps helps Ocean deal with the trauma of losing her friend.

Three years later, Stumps had settled into [[Rapoville]], living with [[Fanon:Kyren|Kyren]] and walking around the woods near the [[Wishing Well]].
