__TOC__
Raposa are an anthropomorphic species loosely based on the appearance of real-world foxes. Their bodies are entirely covered in fur except for their pale-skinned faces, which are human-like in structure. All Raposa have relatively large, upright ears. Despite the similarity to foxes, Raposa lack tails of any sort.

Like humans, Raposa vary significantly in overall appearance due to genetic and personal factors. The most remarkable example of this would be fur and hair color. Possible fur colors include orange for all Raposa and rust/red; yellow; brown; tan; light grey; and dark grey, for male Raposa, with orange being the most common fur color between all sexes. For female Raposa, hair color works similarly with brown, light brown, yellow/blonde, and black/dark grey as possibilities. The hair of female Raposa appears to grey with age. Outside of biological factors, Raposa also wear clothing and accessories, similarly to humans.

A Raposa's appearance is generally both fox-like and humanoid. Their bodies are covered in fur (Orange, Rust, Yellow, Brown, Tan, Light/Dark Grey) all except for their faces. Like real foxes, all Raposa have long upright ears, a distinguishing feature. However, they appear to lack tails.
 +
Female Raposa have no fur over their ears, whereas males do.

Raposa are sexually dimorphic, meaning they display different characteristics depending on the sex of the individual. A list of the main dimorphic features of Raposa and their variances is shown below:

List of Raposa
Hair

: Hair has the most variation for female Raposa. Hair color is naturally separate from fur color and can be any of the colors listed above; however other colors are achievable through wigs or dye. (Examples include Antoinette and Kamalah) Hair length varies between Raposa, although long hair is common among female Raposa. Elderly female Raposa typically have light grey hair.

: For male Raposa, hair and fur color are always the same. Though male Raposa may have long hair (Such as the case with Wilfre and NavyJ), short hair is common among male Raposa. Despite not naturally having hair colors that diverge from their fur color, male Raposa may wear wigs or use dye to circumvent this. (Examples include Leopold, Robespierre, and possibly Butler.) Some elderly male Raposa show patterned baldness in addition to patches of light grey hair.

Fur
+
Raposa from the Raposa Village
: Fur color has the least variation for female Raposa. Regardless of hair color, female Raposa always have orange fur covering their bodies. Unlike with hair, which may grey with age, fur does not change appearance with age.

: Fur color for male Raposa has the highest variation. Fur color can be any of the colors listed above, with orange being the most common. Hair and fur colors are always the same. Fur does not change appearance with age.

Ears

: Female Raposa typically have longer ears than male Raposa. In addition to this, their ears are sometimes portrayed as being wider near the center and narrower toward the top, giving them an inverted kite-like shape, with three tufts of fur at the top. Their ears are covered by short orange fur. Regardless of gender, Raposa sometimes wear piercings. (Examples include Mari and Pirate Beard.)

: Male Raposa typically have short, stubby ears. Although, they are sometimes portrayed with longer ears with three tufts of fur at the top. The ears of male Raposa are covered by short fur that is always the same color as the body fur—and by extension, hair—color (regardless of effects such as old age). Regardless of gender, Raposa sometimes wear piercings. (Examples include Mari and Pirate Beard.)
