After visiting a carnival, [[Mike]], [[Heather]], and their parents drove home in a storm, where Mike's father swerved off the road to avoid crashing with [[Deputy Snyder]]. This accident killed both of Mike's parents, sent Mike into a coma, and damaged half of Heather's face. While sitting with Mike after her own surgery, Heather sings this song, pleading with [[Creator|God]] to wake him up.
