In ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)]]'', Shadow loses its wispy element and becomes a smoother substance. Shadow Water turns purple in this game as well. In ''[[Drawn to Life: Two Realms]]'', Shadow has a slightly blue tint and is once again smooth.

It comes in many different forms, and [[Wilfre]] has complete control over it. It can harm or corrupt [[Raposa]], the [[Hero]], [[Baki]], and all other life. Shadow can also create hostile life forms of several kinds.

In ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)]]'', Shadow is once again the main threat, as the [[Shadow City]]'s Ink Factory restarted, leading the villagers to believe that [[Wilfre]] had returned from the dead. In this game, it does not seem to harm [[Raposa]], but it does harm all other living beings, including the [[Hero]]. Two other variants of Shadow are introduced, Ink and Scribble. These have no real difference to Shadow, but are explicitly mentioned by name in game.

Interestingly, Shadow does not appear in the DS version of ''[[Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter]]'' in any forms or beings, except for Wilfre himself. In the opening video however, Shadow goes over objects before they lose color.

After being banished to the [[Human]] realm, the shadow regroups and decides to infect [[Belleview]]. [[Aldark]] leads the charge in this attack, but his plans are cut short when [[Mari]] sends the [[Hero]] to Belleview to stop him. Throughout the game, the Hero fights Aldark's minions, [[Minimus]], [[Maximus]], [[Desperate]], [[Arrogance]], and [[Furious]], before challenging Aldark himself. After being defeated, Aldark and the Shadow retreat, but [[Wilfre]], who had been revived and begun working with Mari, states that they would return.
