'''Multi-Card Play''' is a method of system multiplayer common in Nintendo DS titles, achieved by temporarily downloading a game onto the system. It is utilized in [[Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition]], and supports up to four players.

The game-play in this mode is completely different from the main game, as it involves playing as actual SpongeBob characters - [[SpongeBob]], [[Patrick]], [[Sandy]] and [[Mr. Krabs]] - rather than a hero drawn by the player. The aim is to draw a custom piece of treasure, and secure it for as long as you can until the 60 second time runs out, gaining coins as it's held. Other players can attack the one holding the treasure by jumping on them, diving at them or using one of a few powerups that appear throughout the level. The player with the most coins in their possession at the end of the match wins.
