Spikes are a deadly obstacle found in the DS version of Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter and in Drawn to Life: Two Realms.
In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, they are mostly seen in Action Drawing segments and will cause the Hero to reset the mini-stage when contact is made with them. Lives, or health, will not be lost during Action Drawing levels and will merely cause the Hero to restart the segment. Outside Action Drawing segments, spikes will instantly kill the Hero, even at full health, making them restart from the latest checkpoint.
In Drawn to Life: Two Realms, they appear in multiple mind levels. Unlike The Next Chapter, coming into contact with the spikes won't instantly kill the Hero, but will remove a single piece of health.

Levels
Trivia
- In the final level, Spikes can be toggled on and off through Firefly Jars.
- The same jars also control Switch Activated Platforms.
- Techno Spires is the first level where spikes are used outside Action Drawing segments.
- Spikes can face any, non-diagonal, direction.
