Coloring Book is an interactive side mode in Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition. Each page is collected after a certain amount of Bikini Bottom citizens are saved and Doodle Scribble is erased, and can be available to purchase at the Krusty Krab.

This mode features similar gameplay to this games' Draw Mode, only with the paint tool permanently selected. The player can choose between all 23 color palettes - with 15 colors each - to customize their coloring. Only one picture is available to start with, with the other seven being unlockable through progression in the main game.
+
Draw Mode is the main creative mode in Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition, consisting of many different tools and features like the rest of the series. Draw Mode automatically activates every time the player goes to edit a creation, draw an object and create or edit DoodlePants. Character creation also features thirteen pre-made character templates based on various characters from the main series, which can be spawned by pressing the L Button and cycled through with the L and R Buttons.

* Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition is the only game in the series to feature a Coloring Book mode.
+
* Like the first game, the colors on the drawing are directly affected by switching the palette.
* Unlike the standard Draw Mode, the player can switch between the color palettes without the colors changing within the drawing as a new one is selected.
+
* There is no help message for basic drawing.
* It is unknown why the five unused pages - Happy Squidward, the Krusty Krab, Cowboy Patrick, Gary and Plankton - were cut.
+
* Some palettes are used in the Coloring Book Mode, while others are exclusive to the Draw SpongeBob mode.
**The last of these would've been the sole appearance of Plankton in this game.

The drawing utilizes the DS' touch screen like the mainline games, although the player can still draw using the D-Pad and A Button if they wish. Unlike the mainline games, however, the player can only save one Hero and is unable to alter body proportions.
