Spikes are deadly obstacles found in both Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter and in Drawn to Life: Two Realms as a stage hazard.
In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, they are mostly seen in Action Drawing segments and will cause the Hero to instantly die when contact is made, sending them back to the Action Draw Altar. Outside Action Drawing segments, spikes will instantly kill the Hero, even at full Health, making them restart from the latest checkpoint.
In Drawn to Life: Two Realms, they appear in multiple Imagination Battles. Unlike in The Next Chapter, coming into contact with the spikes won't instantly kill the Hero, but will remove a single piece of health.

In Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, spikes consist of a row of large grey spikes protruding from holes in the ground. Upon deactivation, they will disappear and only the holes will remain visible.
In Drawn to Life: Two Realms, there are two versions of spikes. One is comprised of a red base with three holes, where three silver spikes protrude from upon being stood on. The other takes a more cartoonish design, protruding out of hole in the wall, ground, or ceiling with a more scissor-esque attack pattern, a red body and what appears to be a single eyeball.

- In the Hall of Darkness, Spikes can be toggled on and off through Firefly Jars. This is the only time Spikes are used like this in the game.
- Techno Spires is the first level where Spikes are used outside Action Drawing segments.
