Madeleine is a Raposa in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter. She resides in the west side of Watersong and meets all of the Rapoville residents as they arrive. She is also responsible for introducing said Raposa to Color.

Appearance

Madeleine is a young Raposa with curly dirty-blonde hair. She wears a red, button-up outfit and has a matching bow on her left ear.

Story

Madeleine is first seen when NavyJ, Samuel, and Indee arrive at Watersong. When Samuel collects the jar of Color, Madeleine confronts them and calls the beach her own. Samuel returns the jar of color to her as he and Indee walk away, and NavyJ asks if she had heard of him. She tells him she hadn't and leaves for Rose's opera. At the opera, although her sprite is not present, she watches as Rose's voice is stolen by Salem.

Later, once the color is stolen from Watersong, Madeleine retreats to the Faraway Beach, where she meets Mari, Jowee, and the Hero. She gives them her jar of color and they use it to color Faraway Beach, eventually watching them color the entirety of west Watersong.

Can you bring back the color?” –Madeleine Madeleine asking The Hero if they can restore color to the village. “You brought back the color! Can you bring back all the other color too?” –Madeleine Madeleine asking if The Hero would restore all of Watersong's color after they restore the ground color.

Trivia

• Madeleine shares her sprites with Valentine.
• Technically, Madeleine's bow should not be visible when she's facing right.
  • This is due to sprite-flipping being used to portray looking in either direction.
• Interestingly, Madeleine has no fear or jumping animation.
• At one point in the story she calls the beach she resides on Faraway Beach.
  • However, later in the story she refers to the level instead.
• Madeleine's sprite may have been made for the original Drawn to Life, as she appears on the cover of the December 2007 issue of Game Developer.
  • Madeleine's sprite was also given to Planet Moon Studios for Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) as revealed in developer files shared by Ken Capelli.
