(Using alive/dead terminology for someone that is essentially a disguise, even when the host is still alive, gets a bit confusing. They're characters, but without their own agency. I think terms such as "inactive" may be better suited. We can use the talk page for more discussion on this.)

Rose bound herself to this deal using a [[Promise Conch]], unaware that Salem had cheated, causing Rose to lose her voice.

Salem cheats, and being bound by the [[Promise Conch]], Mayor Rose loses her voice. Salem then hides the conch, and without the power of song, the village begins to weaken. After the contest, Salem hid the active Promise Conch deep in [[The Abyss]], and Watersong became weak. Salem is not mentioned again until Jowee, Sock, and the Hero rescue [[Moe]] from [[Mine Cart Mayhem]], who reveals that Salem became [[Miney]]'s advisor and told him to make the villagers work non-stop. Salem chastises Miney for ruining their plans, and he leaves to activate the [[Giant Robosa]]. After this point, Salem is not seen or mentioned again, but the Salem disguise is seen as Wilfre's dies.

Quote Icon.png Quotes[edit]

Miles, you stubborn brat!

–Salem

You are coming with me.

–Salem

Salem trying to take Miles.

Ho ho, we have visitors...
I was merely trying to take the boy back to his mother.
But he's hardly worth my trouble anymore. I entrust his wellbeing to you.

–Salem

Salem when he first sees Mari, Jowee, and The Hero.

Enough!!
You call that singing?

–Salem

Salem after hearing Rose sing.

Who am I?
I am Salem, Opera Singer Extraordinaire!

–Salem

Let's see how loyal your fans really are once they hear me sing!

–Salem

Ho ho... Let's make this interesting.
Care to make a small wager?
The winner will claim the title of The Greatest Opera Singer In The World...
...While the loser will be unable to utter a single word for all eternity!
I have here a promise conch. And with it our pact will be forever binding.
So what do you say... Do we have a deal?

–Salem

Salem proposing a bet to Rose.

Haha, excellent..

–Salem

Salem upon Rose accepting his challenge.

Ho Ho... Persistent Raposa.
There is no way you will find the conch!

–Salem

Wilfre? Who is that?
Hmm... If I'm being compared to him, he must be one good looking fellow.

–Salem

Salem upon being compared to Wilfre.

...I grow tired of this...
Good luck with your little scavenger hunt...
...Oh, and time is ticking.

–Salem

How touching...

–Salem

Salem after The Creator stops Rose from passing her voice to Miles.

My dear Rose, are you sad that you lost our little wager?

–Salem

Oh silly me... did I forget to mention...
...I cheated?

–Salem

You and your son have become a thorn in my side.
It ends now.

–Salem

Salem before attempting to attack Rose and Miles.

Hero! Your involvement has become quite taxing.

–Salem

Grr... I've endured this ruse long enough!

–Salem

Salem before revealing that he was Wilfre in disguise.

I was coming to ask you the same question. It seems your idiocy has ruined our plan.

–Salem

Salem after Miney asks him what happened to the Robosa.

Nevermind. I'm off to clean up your mess.
You told that engineer to keep the Giant Robosa outside the control of the switch?
Excellent.

–Salem

Salem before he starts up the Giant Robosa.
