Rocket Shootout is the first level in Space and the 16th level in the Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition game in general, following No Turning Back. It is also the first of two rocket vehicle levels, the second of which being Stop DoodleBob!

As the player first starts the level, they're required to draw both the Rocket Ship and the Blaster. The stage is an auto-mover, with the player moving around and shooting enemies and asteroids with the A Button, while activating Blasters with the B Button. As this is a vehicle level, no other creations or Bikini Bottom Home residents can be found here, and no coins can be found either.
