What follows is a complete transcript of Drawn to Life: Spongebob Squarepants Edition, including scene transitions and extra Dialogue from non-important characters.
“Optional Dialogue” refers to dialogue that can be accessed through interacting with Fish while DoodlePants is able to freely move about Bikini Bottom. Also, some quotes may be duplicated in certain sections of the game. In this case, the duplicated entries will not be shown in this transcript.
The player character, DoodlePants, will be referred to as such within this transcript.
Introduction
(In the Drawing Tool)
- Drawing Prompt: Every artist should sign their work! Write your NAME on the bottom screen.
- Drawing Prompt: Tap the ? and then another icon to find out what it does!
- Drawing Prompt: (After hitting OK) Check out your creation on the top screen.
- Drawing Prompt: Great job! Now everyone will know what a great artist you are!
(On the open sea)
- Narrator: Out on the sea... ...a lone artist draws his latest masterpiece.
- Narrator: "Oh, rats. This pencil tip is all worn down!" The artist goes to grab a new pencil from the boat when...
- Narrator: "Oops! My pencils!" See what happens when you stand up in a little boat! Looks like the artist managed to drop BOTH pencils into the sea!
- Narrator: "Nooooooo!!!"
(In Bikini Bottom)
- Patrick: 1...2...3...7...What comes after 7?
- Patrick: 10...Whoa! I've got 10 hairs on my belly button?
- (The two pencils fall from the sky and Patrick panics. He soon calms down and picks up one of the pencils.)
- Patrick: Oh, boy. I think I've seen one of these before.
- Patrick: What was that thing I'm not supposed to draw?
- Patrick: It had a square body...
- Patrick: two big mean eyes...
- Patrick: Oh yeah, now I remember! I'm not supposed to draw one of those!

- (DoodleBob runs off with a Magic Pencil)
- Patrick: What should I do? What should I do?
- SpongeBob: Hey, Patrick.
- Patrick: DoodleBob! Why did I have to draw DoodleBob!!
- SpongeBob: Did you say DoodleBob?! DoodleBob is back!!!
- Both: Agh!
- (The two proceed to run around in a panic)
- SpongeBob: It's never too late! Patrick, we have to do something!
- Patrick: Well, then. What's the plan?
- SpongeBob: Patrick! Isn't that a magic pencil behind you!
- Patrick: Uh, I guess. It kinda looks like one. All long and pointy-like.
- SpongeBob: To stop DoodleBob, we need our own doodle!
- SpongeBob: A SUPERHERO DOODLE!
- Patrick: You're a genius SpongeBob! Well, let's draw a hero!
(In the Drawing Tool)
- Drawing Prompt: Draw your HERO! Use the L button to select templates if you need a guide.
- Drawing Prompt: (After pressing L or R) Templates are just guidelines you can draw on top of until you press the X Button to make them solid!
- Drawing Prompt: Good job!
(In Bikini Bottom)
- SpongeBob: All finished! Great job!!
- SpongeBob: Introducing our new pal, DoodlePants!
- (Doodle Soldiers run towards the group)
- SpongeBob: This must be DoodleBob's army! Hurry, this way!
- (A jellyfish flies by, distracting Patrick as the Doodle Soldiers kidnap SpongeBob)
- SpongeBob: Help! DoodlePants!
- Patrick: Oh, no, SpongeBob! We're coming to save you!
Bikini Bottom
Intro Level
During Level
- Prompt: DoodleBob has captured SpongeBob!
- Prompt: You've got to save him!
- Prompt: Hold up! Touch these signs or press the A Button to get hints!
[Optional Dialogue]
- Sign: Press the B Button to jump!
- Sign: Crate ahead!
- Sign: Press the Y Button to karate chop your way through!
- Sign: More crates blocking your way down?
- Sign: Jump up and press down on the +Control Pad to butt smash 'em!
- Sign: That rock is in your way!
- Sign: Do a Butt smash on the button to movie it!
- Sign: Jellyfish!
- Sign: Don't let 'em sting you!
- Sign: Jump on their heads!
- Sign: DoodleBob is drawing doodle goo
- Sign: everywhere he goes!
- Sign: Use the stylus to rub away this black gunk!!
- (After clearing the Doodle Goo)
- Prompt: Great job! That area is clean again!
[Optional Dialogue]
- Sign: Slide down the hill and slam into enemies by pressing down on the +Control Pad!
- Sign: When you run out of hearts,
- Sign: you'll go back to the last magic pencil checkpoint you touched.
- Sign: Stun Doodle Duded and use the stylus to erase and clean up their act!
[Easel Dialouge]
- Drawing Prompt: Draw a MAGIC PENCIL! You'll return here a lot, so make it great! Zoom with the magnifying glass to add detail!
- Drawing Prompt: Beautiful! Now you have a place to pop back to when things get tough!
- Prompt: Look out! That's one of DoodleBob's creations!
- Prompt: Karate chop or jump on him!
- Prompt: (After stunning the first Oopsie Doodle) Hurry up! While he's seeing stars, you can wipe him out with the stylus.
- Drawing Prompt: Redraw the Doodle Dude and turn him into your new friend!
[Optional Dialogue]
- Sign: Attack and break open this cage!
- SpongeBob: (After being rescued) Thanks, DoodlePants!
[Optional Dialogue]
- Sign: SpongeBob is now your partner!
- Sign: Press the X Button to activate. Then,
- Sign: drag a square around you with the stylus to make SpongeBob protect you.
- Drawing Prompt: You win! Draw a VICTORY DISPLAY! Bring the key and jump on top of the display to clear the level!
Post-Level
- SpongeBob: Phew! That was close! It's good to be back in Bikini Bottom. All thanks to you DoodlePants!
- Patrick: You can say that again, SpongeBob! Say, what's all this junk lying around?
- SpongeBob: Yeah, what is all that? Let's get a close look.
- ???: Oowww!
- Patrick: Uh, oh! I just stepped on something gross! ...It's covered in icky suckers! I'm gonna be sick!
- Squidward: Watch it there! You're standing on my leg!
- Spongebob: Hey, Squidward! What are you doing taking a nap here?
- Squidward: Blockhead! Take a look around! Notice anything different? Like the destruction of Bikini Bottom!?
- SpongeBob: .......
- Patrick: .......
- Spongebob and Patrick: Oh, no!
- Squidward: The town is ruined. Everyone was taken away by an army of Doodle Dudes...
- Squidward: ...and they took my favorite clarinet away--right in the middle of practice time!
- Squidward: I'm holding both of you responsible! You're going to fix my house just the way it was!
- Squidward: I suppose one of us can tag along with DoodlePants.
- Squidward: Everyone else STAYS! My house had better be repaired quickly! I need my beauty sleep!
- SpongeBob: You can count on us Squidward! Say, DoodlePants. Which one of us are you going to take along for the adventure?
- Prompt: Need a sponge shield? Press the X Button and stretch a square over your character!
- Prompt: Press the X Button and stretch a circle over enemies to give them a "stunning" performance.
- Patrick: Ninja Starfish! Press the X Button and draw a line to hurl Patrick and stun the enemies!
Hub Area
- Prompt: Draw your own Doodle Home in Bikini Bottom!
(The player then draws the Doodle Home)
- Prompt: Your Doodle Home is complete! Time to head inside!
- Prompt: This place sure could use a bed. Draw one up!
(The player then draws the Bed)
- Prompt: That'll work! Next, drag and drop the bed in a good spot!
(The player then places the Bed)
- Prompt: Nice job!
- Prompt: You can always visit your home and touch the bed to save your game!
- Prompt: Hey, we'd better save all this artwork right away!

- SpongeBob: Let's go! We've got to stop DoodleBob!
