Monkeys are enemies that first appear in Jangala Falls. They appear in every Jangala level after this.
Monkeys are a non-ranged enemy that tends to jump around the stage in it's area, never actively targeting the Hero
Appearance
Monkeys are quite literally, monkeys. They have very lanky arms and are covered in thick brown fur. They also have a very round head, hair that mimics a mohawk, and facial hair that mimics a goatee.
Story
While Jowee and the Hero explore Jangala, Monkeys begin sneaking into Rapoville to steal the Banya from Farmer Brown's farm. Farmer Brown asks Jowee and the Hero to redraw the Banya crop, while Mari begins to wonder why the Monkeys would steal from the village since they had a pact with the Monkey King. Jowee and the Hero then make their way to the Monkey King to ask him about the Monkeys. When they find the Monkey King in the Treetop Village, they find that Shadow Walkers had invaded the village. After defeating the Shadow Walkers, the Monkey King thanks the group and gives them the Crystal Mask and the kidnapped Zsasha. Some time later, some Monkeys would find their way into Shadow City due to the city's banana smell.

Trivia
- Despite the Raposa and the Monkeys having a pact of some kind, the Hero can still defeat Monkeys in Jangala Falls and Treetop Village without consequence.
- The Monkey King never brings this up, and seems to have no problem with the Hero or the Raposa after this.
- This may mean that the pact between Rapoville and Jangala may not be related to peace.
