Eugene Krabs is a supporting character in both the the Drawn to Life spinoff title Drawn to Life: SpongeBob SquarePants Edition and the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series the game is based on. He is the shopkeeper of the Krusty Krab, the in-game shop, and is playable in the Multiplayer Mode as one of four characters to choose from.

Appearance

Mr. Krabs is a short, portly crimson-red crab with tall green eyestalks, a crinkled brown nose and giant claws. His attire consists of a light-blue shirt, indigo pants and a black belt. Spikes are also visible from the back of his neck in the series, although they're not present in his in-game model.

Story

Mr. Krabs is first seen in the first stage of the game, Uptown Bikini Bottom, as the first - and only required - Bikini Bottom resident to save. Upon his release, he comes out of his shell and thanks DoodlePants for rescuing him before leaving the stage. SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward all meet up with him upon completing the stage, and he announces the re-opening of the Krusty Krab. Mr. Krabs asks the player to change the menu, leading to a redraw of the health pickup. He resides in the Krusty Krab as the shopkeeper for the rest of the game.

Trivia

• Mr. Krabs' in-game assets are reused from the DS version of Atlantis SquarePantis, also developed by Altron.
  • All four playable characters from that game - SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy Cheeks and Mr. Krabs - are playable in the Multiplayer Mode.
    • Of these, Mr. Krabs and Sandy are the only characters to not be a helper for DoodlePants.
