Flyin' Rabbit Dolls are enemies that appear in Drawn to Life. They are rabbit-like enemies that fly using their ears as propellers and then glide down. They are found in the Forest Gate levels and take two hits to defeat.
Appearance[edit]
Flyin' Rabbits are round, doll-like creatures with over-sized ears. They have two stumpy feet located on the bottom of their body.
Each Flying Rabbit Doll is unique, as none of them are made the same way. This causes some dolls to look much different than others.
Story[edit]
A long time ago, back when Raposa lived in the Forest Gate region, there once was an old woman. She lived by herself in the Twilite Wood. Isolated from everyone she knew, this old rapo was dedicated to use magic to create life. After years of research, she decided to perform some tests. She sewed together a rabbit doll to test her magic on. While the test did give life to the doll, the old Raposa's soul was sucked into the doll. None had heard from her since. Here is where the curse began.
The doll, obtaining magical energy, came to life. However, it wasn't much of a life. The doll had no personality, no companions, or resources. There was only one thing it knew, and it was it's ability to use magic. It then decided to put it's energy to use. The doll wandered to a small town close by. It then went to attack and curse one of the villagers that approached it. After a while, the doll observed that the villager made another one of his kind after it cursed him. When the doll met with it's newfound companion, they decided to attack the rest of the town. The few that weren't cursed by a Flyin Rabbit, fled the town.
It is unknown how long a Flyin Rabbit doll lives. While many say that they are immortal, this is just speculation. More realistically, one of those dolls can live for a few centuries. However, it is unknown if the same doll can absorb multiple souls. If this is the case, they have the potential to live forever.
Abilities[edit]
Since each doll is made differently, they don't always share the same set of abilities. However, there are some common abilities found in Flyin' Rabbit Dolls.
Hypnosis[edit]
Most dolls have the ability to hypnotize Raposa. Dolls are only able to hypnotize Raposa, and no other species. However, there have been a few ancient records of dolls hypnotizing and attacking Non-Raposa. Flyin' Rabbit Dolls hypnotize Raposa through eye contact. Meaning if the doll and/or the raposa lacks eyes, they are unable to hypnotize successfully.
The most common use of hypnosis is to put the Raposa into a trance before attacking them. This way, the Raposa is still, targeted, and ready to be attacked.
On rare occasions, the dolls use their hypnosis ability in other ways. If a doll becomes conscious before the passing of their host, the doll must absorb their soul with force. The doll can only absorb the soul of their host and no one else. It's critical for the doll to make sure they are alone with their host before attacking. They do this by hypnotizing nearby raposa to do certain things and go wherever in necessary. This way, the risk of being interrupted is much lower. However, at this specific state, the doll doesn't have a lot of energy. This makes them unable to do much with draining their energy completely.
Eating[edit]
While Flyin' Rabbit Dolls don't need nutrition in order to live, if a doll is well fed and eats more nutritious things, their life span can increase by a few decades.
Some dolls are able to eat, while others are not. Whether a doll is able to eat or not is dependent of whether or not their host gave them a mouth. If the doll doesn't have a mouth, they are able to create a mouth using a good amount of magic. If the doll has an open mouth, the doll is able to turn the mouth into a functional mouth using magic. It doesn't take as much magic as creating a mouth from scratch, but it still takes a good amount of magic. These dolls often have their mouth open. If the doll is made with a closed mouth, they are unable to eat. This is because if they try to open their closed mouth, they are unable to. The reason why their mouth can't open is because their mouth was made to be closed. In a sense, their mouth was sewn shut.
Materials[edit]
Depending on the materials used to make the doll, the doll can have different abilities and weaknesses.
