He's trying to mimic a Raposa, but he doesn't exactly understand what he's doing. He screeches and roars instead of talks. He finds learning Raposa language too difficult, if not impossible, so he doesn't do it.

Also he mistakes Grerrie for a fellow alien, and adopted him as his brother.
