–Gargoyle
Gargoyle is an enemy adapted by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Blank Slates 3 as a minor character. It is one of Stocking's oldest friends, and it helped fight against both Pinkleg the Plunderer and Tombstone.
Appearance[edit]
Gargoyle is a typical, grey-stone gargoyle.
Story[edit]
Gargoyle is first seen with Stocking, Cobalt, and Steele, preparing to go fight Moby Slick and the Dark Harbinger underneath The Next Chapter Village. Once the group teleports under the village, Gargoyle first searches with Cobalt for Moby Slick, and Steele joins Stocking on the Harbinger. A fight breaks out between Steele, Stocking, and Pinkleg the Plunderer on the Harbinger, so Gargoyle and Cobalt quickly come to help fight. However, Steele is shot and killed while Cobalt is kidnapped for Project Overhaul, so Gargoyle and Stocking return to the surface.
Much later, after Tombstone's attack on the Shadow Village, Gargoyle is met by Crawler, Fox, Mew Pod, and Racoomie. The five of them agree to work together, and Gargoyle leads them to Stocking, currently bathing in the Color Vat. Just as Tombstone begins attacking the Two Realms Plains, the six of them agree to fight together and leave to defeat Tombstone.
In the Plains, Gargoyle watches as Tombstone summons its army of undead Droogles, and Gargoyle began dispatching the troops. During the fight, Gargoyle hears Racoomie and Mew Pod calling for help, as Goldie had attacked them. Gargoyle quickly latches onto Goldie, flings her back into Tombstone's main body, and calls Fiora to Racoomie and Mew Pod to attempt to cleanse them of Tombstone's Shadow. While Mew Pod is cleansed, Racoomie is not, so Stocking attempts to teleport him to the Color Vat, but is crippled by a vision. Gargoyle helps Stocking to his feet and the two of them rejoined the fight, although their attacks seemed to have no effect on Tombstone.
Shortly after, Tombstone began to envelop the Two Realms Plains in its Shadow, so Gargoyle and the rest of the fighters were forced to retreat. When Tombstone reemerged for the final fight alongside a possessed Red Dragon and Drakon, Gargoyle and Stocking chose to go fight Red Dragon. Once close to The Next Chapter Village, Gargoyle sprung into action and latched onto Red Dragon's head, causing her to roar in pain. However, when Red Dragon leaned into Fiora's God Ray attack, Gargoyle was knocked to the ground, landing safely in Stocking's cap, which transported it back to The Next Chapter Village.
After Red was killed a second time, Gargoyle was visited by Stocking and dunked into the Color Vat, fixing most of Gargoyle's injuries. The two of them returned to the main Tombstone fight and fought as hard as they could. However, the combined forces of The Void's best fighters, Gargoyle included, wasn't enough to fully defeat Tombstone, and the monster was able to nearly absorb Gargoyle. Thanks to Temte Mapleleaf however, Gargoyle was teleported to safety in a flash of light. Its current whereabouts are unknown.
