The Ruby Earring is an item in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) that is found on Circi's body on all times. It also appears in multiple short stories created by GuyThatExists.
Appearance[edit]
The Ruby Earring is a small, spherical earring that doesn't have any defining features except for its red color.
Story[edit]
Circi Loves Wilfre[edit]
In Circi Loves Wilfre, Athys gives Circi the ruby earring at one point in her life. Eventually, Circi and Wilfre make their way to the Ink Factory and challenge Athys to a fight, but she corrupts them with Shadow. Circi soon realizes that the earring can harness the Shadow's power, and uses it to leave Wilfre and return to the village.
In The Treetop Village and Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii)[edit]
The Ruby Earring does not play a pivotal role in In The Treetop Village or Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter (Wii), serving purely as cosmetics for Circi. It is the only part of her that remains shadowless when she enters her shadow form. In the stories' timeline, the earring is locked up in Village Hall after the defeat of the Giant Scribble Monster.
The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three[edit]
In The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three, Allight had obtained the Ruby Earring somehow and wore it while inhabiting Meeny. After using him to attack Turtle Rock and its passengers, she discarded him and escaped with Mari, accidentally leaving Meeny with the earring. He went on to use the earring to channel Color during his fight with Allight. After her defeat, Meeny returned the earring to Mari.
Shadow Lives On[edit]
In Shadow Lives On, Milfre is hunting for the earring so that she can give it to her dad. When she can't find it in her own time, she travels to the past to look for it, making her base on Wilfre's Wasteland. When characters from Rapoville arrive at the Wasteland to investigate a disturbance, Milfre kidnaps Unagi, Crazy Barks, and Indee to use as leverage against Mari. She demands that Mari take her to the earring, but Mari takes Pirate Beard and return to Rapoville to get it.
When they return, they find Milfre, Wilfre, and a Cave Monster engaged in combat, and wait the fight out. Mari gives Milfre the earring who immediately gives it to Wilfre, allowing him to harness Color like he did Shadow. Milfre returns to the future and reports in to Salem Rose, who reveals that he stole the earring from Wilfre, and the two begin to fight, Milfre using Ink and Creation and Salem Rose using Color and Shadow.
Salem Rose Pt. 1/Pt. 2[edit]
Salem Rose finds the earring in Wilfre's possession, and the two of them fight to the death for it. Salem Rose wins the fight and uses the powers of the earring to fight Milfre, destroy the Artifacts of Power, and kill Deadwood. He later uses the earring to incapacitate everyone fighting him before facing Wilfre in 2007. After the fight, and immediately before Salem Rose's death, Willham erases the earring from existence.
