Rust-Furred Raposa
Rust-Furred Raposa are a special subspecies of Raposa that previously inhabited Shadow City before it was attacked by Shadow, then known as Rust City. They currently reside all around the Raposa realm, living in Rapoville, Lavasteam, and Rapocity among other places. As they are Raposa, they all believe in the Creator, although some have actively worked against them, such as Athys and Circi. The rust-fur gene was originally a mutation found in a Raposa from Shadow City, but as it allowed the Raposa to live longer, it began to spread.
Raposa with rust colored fur age at a rate that is drastically slower than a typical Raposa, with some Rust-Furred Raposa living to be around 500 years old. The Rust-Fur gene itself can also be harnessed and used as a medicinal tool to cure injuries and natural deaths such as strokes, heart attacks, and cancer. The Rust-Furred gene is recessive, which means that certain Raposa can carry it and pass it onto their children while not having the appearance or abilities of a Rust-Furred Raposa.
Appearance[edit]
As Rust-Furred Raposa are still Raposa, their appearance is generally both fox-like and humanoid. Their bodies are covered in rust colored fur everywhere except for their faces. Like real foxes, all Raposa have long upright ears, a distinguishing feature; female Raposa have no fur over their ears, whereas males do. However, they appear to lack tails.

Trivia[edit]
- Despite the Rust-Fur gene being able to cure some cases of death, it is not able to cure cases such as fatal gunshot wounds, blood loss, or any death related to loss or removal of limbs/vital organs.
- Rust-blood transfusions have been confirmed to be able to extend the lifespan of a non-Rust-Furred Raposa, seen with Bavel.
- Although they are not Rust-Furred Raposa, there have been some Rust-Furred carriers that have appeared in Guy's AU.
