Moseus is first seen at a celebration in Lavasteam with the royals of both Lavasteam and Watersong, alongside his Deputy Mayor Angelia. After hearing that Watersong had Captain Cavalier in custody, Ruby attacks the venue. Moseus tries to run out of the venue with Moe and Miney, and he manages to avoid being struck by Ruby's daggers.
Outside, Moseus regroups with Rose, Lock, Angelia, and Meeny as the palace explodes and the elevated cliff side collapses. Miney's crown clatters down in front of the group, and they mourn the losses of the night. Ruby announces Miney's death to the group, and then vanishes before they can be apprehended.
