–Stocking
Stocking is a Raposa adapted by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Blank Slates 3 as a main character. After being brought to life in The Void, Stocking became friends with Gargoyle, Cobalt, and Steele, but after an encounter with GenericChallenge, their group was torn apart. He would later seek the help of Fiora and Nolan for his visions, leading the three of them into a fight with Tombstone. After choosing to save Nolan's life over Aly's during the fight, Stocking reminisces and bathes in the Color Vat before returning to the final fights against Tombstone. After a close encounter, Temte Mapleleaf sends him into canon, landing him in Watersong, where he and the also transported Fiora fight with Mayor Colepere.
Appearance[edit]
Stocking is an orange-furred adult Raposa that typically wears a blue hoodie with purple pants, and he has a large, red stocking on his head with a white cuff.
Story[edit]
Before Blank Slates 3[edit]
An unknown time before the events of Blank Slates 3, Stocking and his friends Gargoyle, Cobalt, and Steele would travel underneath the The Next Chapter Village to fight Moby Slick or the Dark Harbinger. However, as they fought both of them one time, they are ambushed by GenericChallenge, going by Pinkleg the Pirate, and he ends up killing Steele and kidnapping Cobalt for Project Overhaul. As thanks, GenericChallenge gives Stocking and Gargoyle a chest of Color to attempt to bring Steele back to life, but it fails, and Stocking and Gargoyle return to the surface.
Blank Slates 3[edit]
Seeking Help[edit]
Stocking is next seen asking Fiora and Nolan for help, as he had begun having visions and hearing voices that weren't his and he couldn't control. Fiora asks why Stocking came to them, and he explains that they had connections to nearly everyone with power in The Void, and he figured they would know someone who could help him if they couldn't. However, their meeting is cut short by Shadow Mari, who tells them about the loss at the Drawn to Life Village and the order to evacuate The Void, so the four of them go throughout The Next Chapter Village for some time, informing the villagers to evacuate.
When they reconvene back at Fiora and Nolan's house, they say goodbye to Shadow Mari, and Fiora explains that she thinks Shadow Mari is up to no good, just like Mayo was. Nolan doesn't believe her, but before they can discuss it further, the ground shakes again, and Stocking has an episode. Fiora and Nolan try to help him, but he shakes them off, telling them that Tombstone was erupting in the Shadow Village and that they needed to go fight.
Fight at the Shadow Village[edit]
When the three of them arrive at the Shadow Village, they meet up with Aly and Jinxy, but Stocking and Jinxy go into the fight against Tombstone, leaving the other to talk outside the village. During the fight, Stocking used his cap to teleport himself and other fighters to disorient Tombstone. At one point, after Jinxy cuts off a piece of Tombstone and it lands near those outside the village, Stocking teleports over to move them. For the rest of the fight, Stocking continued to disorient Tombstone.
After Tombstone collapses into a tidal wave, heading towards Fiora, Nolan, and Aly, Stocking teleports over to them and offers his hat to teleport them to safety, an offer that Fiora immediatley takes. However, Nolan and Aly bicker about who should go in first, so with the wave crashing closer and Stocking only able to save one of them, he saves Nolan and leaves Aly to die. When Nolan and Stocking arrive back in The Next Chapter Village without Aly, the three of them sit in silence for some time. Eventually, Fiora broaches the subject of Stocking's visions, shocking both Stocking and Nolan. Nolan cuts her conversation short by arguing with Stocking about his decision, but Fiora protects him by blaming Shadow Mari for the fight, and Fiora and Nolan head to the Guardians' HQ to confront her, without Stocking.
Alone With his Thoughts[edit]
Now alone in The Next Chapter Village, Stocking begins to feel an intense wave of guilt and anger from both himself and whoever's visions he was having, and he passes out due to their intensity. When he comes to, he has a pounding headache and teleports himself into his home's kitchen. Making himself a cup of tea, he reminisces on his time with Gargoyle, Cobalt, and Steele, eventually finishing his drink and deciding to go for a walk.
He comes up to the Color Vat and jumps in, experiencing the pure Color as it flowed around him. He continues to reminisce inside the Color Vat until he is brought back to the real world by remembering Steele's death. As he rises from the Vat, he sees Steele and Alana on the color's surface, promising to avenge their deaths by taking out Tombstone. As he turns around, he sees Gargoyle, along with a ragtag group of Fox, Crawler, Mew Pod, and Racoomie, approaching him, and he sees Tombstone erupting from the Two Realms Plains, so the six of them teleport over to go fight the monster.
Fight at the Two Realms Plains[edit]
When the six of them arrive, they find Willham, Shadow Mari, and Fiora already engaged in combat, with Nolan asleep on the floor. Stocking teleports Nolan back home, leaving him a note that told him that they were still fighting Tombstone if he woke up. Returning to the fight, Stocking and Gargoyle start fighting against Goldie's undead Droogle army, though eventually, when Crawler is nearly absorbed by Tombstone, Stocking sends him his cap to transport to Nolan's House.
He continues to fight the undead Droogles until Mew Pod and Racoomie are ambushed by Goldie, but just before he can help them, he has an intense vision of the Tree King attacking the HQ, so he collapses, though thanks to his bath in the Color Vat, he now knows that the visions are from Gingerfre. Gargoyle runs up to him as he recovers, and Stocking is able to send the nearly powerless Mew Pod to Nolan's House as Racoomie is absorbed by Tombstone.
As Stocking returns to the fight, the group begins to notice that Tombstone is not actively attacking them, so they all fall back for a moment only to see Tombstone melt back into a puddle. However, before they can celebrate, all the pieces of Tombstone that had been thrown about and lobbed off during the battle begin erupting in bubbles of smog, enveloping the entirety of the Two Realms Plains in a bubble. Defeated, the group of fighters all head to the Guardians' HQ to meet up with the final residents of The Void.
Fighting Red Dragon's Body[edit]
When they return to the Guardians' HQ and get caught up on the discoveries from the other villages, also seeing Tombstone summon the bodies of Red Dragon and Drakon from the bubbles of smog. As Gingerfre leaves to go fight Red Dragon, Stocking, Gargoyle, and Fiora all go with him to protect The Next Chapter Village, and they are soon joined by Skate. When they arrive, Stocking teleports onto Red Dragon's back and grabbed her wings, though he was simply shook to the ground.
When Gargoyle is hit by Fiora's God Ray blast, Stocking tosses his hat to Gargoyle, sending it to The Next Chapter Village. Skate joins the fight at this point and helps attack Red Dragon, though a beam of Shadow knocks Skate into a free fall, and she is caught by Stocking. Just then, Fiora takes an opportunity to pelt Red Dragon's weakened body with God Rays, purifying it of Tombstone's Shadow. Gingerfre, grieving her loss once more, huddles up next to her as Stocking takes Gargoyle back to the Color Vat, letting them bathe in it, healing its wounds.
Uniting With Gingerfre[edit]
When Stocking and Gargoyle return to the main fight against Tombstone, Gargoyle began fighting, but Stocking is stopped by Jinxy and Gingerfre. Jinxy gives Stocking a God Ray Charm for his hat, and Gingerfre confronts him about his visions, as he was able to see Stocking healing Gargoyle. Stocking apologizes, but Gingerfre cuts him off, explaining that he was able to feel Stocking's emotions, so Gingerfre offers condolences for Steele's death, handing Stocking Mizu's Trident, and Stocking begins fighting Tombstone.
Fighting for The Void[edit]
Immediately, Stocking starts by propelling himself through Tombstone's eye as a bullet of water, and he continues fighting with both his newfound water abilities and his teleportation, continuing to distract Tombstone and inflict damage on him. However, Eventually, Tombstone is able to capture most of the fighters in a Shadowy tendril, so Temte Mapleleaf is forced to use her abilities to transport everyone out of The Void and to safety, meaning canon for the majority of the fighters.
Canon Life[edit]
Stocking appears in Watersong, inside the Mayoral Mansion, with Mizu's Trident still in hand. Suddenly, he hears a knocking at the door and slowly opens it to find Fiora, still with her God Ray Earring. He brings her inside and the two of them try to figure out what had just happened. However, their conversation is cut short by Mayor Colepere, who asks them to leave the Mansion, though since Stocking and Fiora are only aware of Rose's time as mayor, they prepare to fight Colepere.

Trivia[edit]
- Stocking's visions of Gingerfre are meant to parallel the relation between Sock and Wilfre in Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter.
- In earlier drafts of Blank Slates 3, Stocking was meant to be absorbed by Tombstone along with Gingerfre, and they both would have reconciled inside Tombstone.
- This was scrapped due to GuyThatExists changing how Tombstone's absorption worked and wanting more time to flesh out the characters.
