–Terra
Terra Norte is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two as a minor antagonist and The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three as a minor character. He also appears in The 35 as a character in 3 out of 105 segments.
He was a member of Lavasteam's Royal Guard and was stationed on Ex-Isle. He is tyrannical and cruel to the exiles, but he briefly comes around when his own life is on the line. He would help fight against both Wilfre and Allight, becoming one of Allight's many thralls, but after being freed, he was sentenced to eighteen years on Ex-Isle due to his inhumane treatment of the other exiles. He would eventually reluctantly join Lychee's yoga group.
Near the end of his sentence, the separated Salem reaches out to him, offering him his freedom in exchange for his service. Terra agrees, and his escape causes much ruckus on Ex-Isle. After leaving with Russet, Salem reveals himself to them and they begin their work.
Appearance[edit]
Not much is known about Terra's appearance, although it can be assumed he has small ears. It is also assumed that he wears some armor and a helmet.
Story[edit]
The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Two[edit]
Terra used to be a low-ranking member of Lavasteam's Royal Guard, and he was stationed on Ex-Isle, desperately wanting to get promoted so he could change how lax the island was run. One night, while on patrol, he came across Kacha, his superior, helping Byetts, an exile, escape the island. As Byetts tries to escape, Terra and Kacha fight, and he is victorious. He reports her, causing her exile, and he becomes her replacement as Lavasteam's head of Ex-Isle.
Some time later, Terra is waiting in the mess hall for Kacha, Byetts, and Robigo to appear. However, when he sees two new exiles come to breakfast with them, he decided to cut the serving size in half. He walks over to the five exiles as the rest of the island gets breakfast and tells them to wait until everyone else had eaten. Oma, one of the new exiles, tells him that they were kidnapped by Wilfre, but he doesn't believe their story. After getting breakfast, he overhears Kacha telling Ocean, the other new exile, how she was exiled. He interrupts her story to tell Oma and Ocean to meet him in his office, where he explains that they have no rights on the island, and that they must conform to his rules.
A week later, Terra is in a meeting with Miney's new advisor, Salem, along with three other guards - Elodie, Mog, and Sigil. During the meeting, Terra steps out to announce to the exiles that Salem would be coming, listing off a number of exiles that needed to stay away from him during the visit. He returns to his office, but their meeting is interrupted when Kacha breaks in and catches a peek at Salem, running back out to her group to tell them about him. Terra sends Elodie and Mog to retrieve her, and when they do, he reprimands her.
The next week, Terra is alerted to Robigo's disappearance after her interview with Salem, so he gathers a group of guards to go looking for her. The check her room and find her talking with Salem, who tells Terra that he planned to release Robigo. Terra acknowledges this, and lets Salem have some alone time with Robigo, sending his troops back upstairs.
One week later, Terra, Elodie, and Mog are all approached by Kacha, who points out a storm of Shadow brewing over the island. Before they can do anything about it however, Wilfre and his Ameba army storm the hallway and eventually, the mess hall. The four of them hide behind a table with Oma, Ocean, Byetts, and Colepere, along with some other exiles and guards. After Salem kidnaps Oma and Ocean, Terra gives Kacha, Byetts, and Colepere spears so they can fight the Ameba. Terra fights alongside the exiles and guards, but his Color is eventually drained by Wilfre.
When the Creator restores her color, Terra is quickly surrounded by a group of exiles, led by Brûlées. Colepere quickly resolves the conflict, helping the exiles and guards negotiate better terms for their treatment. He was later one of the many Raposa enthralled by Allight.
The Lavasteam Chronicles Part Three[edit]
One year later, an enthralled Terra is one of the first Raposa to meet Kyren, Silas, and Mutt on Ex-Isle. He guides the kids to a room and leaves them be. Shortly after, he is summoned by Allight and engulfed in light, allowing him to begin fighting Jowee, Mari, Eeny, and a Hero. After the Mannequite shards froze him in place, Terra was freed from Allight's influence and teleported to Lavasteam with Meeny and some other former thralls.
Before the final fight with Allight breaks out, Terra tries to assert dominance over the exiles that were brought to Lavasteam, but Anne-Lise establishes her own dominance by working with Bruce and Grosrenard. When the fight occurs, Terra fights with Mog and Eeny. After the fight, Terra is discharged from the Royal Guard and sentenced to live on Ex-Isle for his harsh treatment of the exiles.
The 35[edit]
2015[edit]
Eventually, Terra is invited into Lychee's yoga group, which also invites him to a White Boomaphant gift exchange organized by Lychee. He brings a large chunk of Mannequite which is picked by Lychee, but is confiscated by Karat. He ends up picking Mog's gift, a foam spear, annoying him, but only mildly. Despite making friends on the island, he still believes that some of them deserved his harsh treatment, but he is convinced that the rest of his sentence would be bearable.
2018[edit]
When Karat is exiled for All-Lite use and her dealer status, Terra greets them at the docks, mocking them, but Karat calls him off, so he leaves.
2026[edit]
One year before the end of his eighteen year sentence, Terra receives a call from the now separate Salem. Salem tells him that he knows about his All-Lite trades, a crime of Karat's that was pinned on Terra, and that Salem could get Terra off the island in exchange for his service. Terra agrees, confused as to what Salem is referring to, and prepares to leave the island.
Mog walks in on Terra packing his belongings since he had skipped breakfast. Terra tells Mog that there was a lot Mog didn't know about being a royal guard yet, and he heads towards the docks. However, when Lychee attacks Mog, he radios the entire island that Terra and Lychee were escaping. When Terra makes it to the docks, Juliette and Garmor are waiting for him. Garmor calls Terra's bluff, and the three of them standoff, waiting for a ship to arrive.
Later, when Salem's ship, sailed by Russet, appears on the horizon, Terra points it out. Just then, Mog, Lychee and her friends, and the guards chasing them arrive on the docks. A fight breaks out between the guards and the exiles, while Terra and Karat stand at the edge of the dock. Karat apologizes for pinning their crimes on Terra, and he connects the dots, telling them that Salem helped release him because of those crimes. The fighting stops and the exiles and guards together interrogate Terra about how Salem was still around, but Russet corroborates Terra's claim.
With the fighting stopped, the guards wrangle the exiles back inside, and Mog asks Terra to be careful with Salem. On the way back to Lavasteam with Russet, the two of them dread their new employer, and Salem appears on the ship to begin their work.
