Metis is a Raposa created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Salem Rose Pt. 1 as a minor character. She also appears in The 35 in 3 out of 105 segments.

After working in Rapocity for some time, Metis met Pheme at Moondrop and the two of them became business partners. She would eventually learn about Virgil's work in Shadow City, attempting to get them a mayor recognized by the world, and she nominates Pheme to run. After being elected, Metis works as Pheme's Deputy until Pheme's assassination, where she becomes Mayor.

Appearance

Currently, Metis' appearance is unknown, but she likely has long ears and orange fur as she is a female Raposa.

Story

Before The 35

At one point in her life, Metis married and had a child named Athena. Eventually, Sigil invited Metis and Athena to join the Followers of Wilfre, an invitation they accepted. Some time later, Metis' spouse would pass, leaving her widowed.

The 35

2013

Metis is first seen in 2013, ordering a coffee and a muffin from Moondrop, where she meets Pheme. After receiving her coffee for free, Metis offers to help Pheme with her finances, and Pheme takes her upstairs to show Metis her vault of Rapo-Coins, Shadite, and Mannequite.

2017

Years later, Metis and Pheme would work at Moondrop together, and Metis served Brontes, who ordered her regular, so she gives it to him on the house. Shortly after, Virgil and his secretaries from Maradyn discuss their goal to open Shadow City to the outside world with Brontes, drawing the attention of everyone in the cafe. Virgil asks the crowd if they had any nominees for who could become the first official mayor of the City, and Metis nominates Pheme.

2019

After Pheme is elected to be mayor, Metis and Pheme celebrate with two Bosses, but an explosion blows the door off Pheme's vault. The two of them run upstairs to investigate, and when they head back downstairs, Metis finds a bullet hole in the wall, having gone through Pheme's Boss. Brontes, who had just appeared, is told to lock the doors by Pheme, who leads the two of them back upstairs, announcing that she was going to be assassinated.

Salem Rose Pt. 1

Metis is seen years later during the 10th annual Creator's Alliance meeting, chastising Mari for harboring Wilfre, and making fun of the Monkey King for not understanding the situation. She asks Mari about Aldark's location, prompting Mari to say that she doesn't know where he is. Eventually, after Miles and Russet remove Watersong and Lavasteam from the alliance, Metis follows suit with Shadow City, pulling them out of the alliance.
