Daniel James is a Human created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories Blank Slates 2 and Blank Slates 3 as a side character. He also appears in The 35 in 2 out of 105 segments. He is a disguise adopted by David Franco while trying to find Mr. Row in 2007. After finding Mr. Row, Franco would return to Belleview as Franco Key, and Daniel James wouldn't be seen again until Franco Key searches for GenericChallenge later on, eventually becoming stranded in Belleview from 2008 to around 2042.

Appearance

Daniel James is a human that has brown hair and black headphones. He also wears an orange shirt and blue pants with brown shoes. He also has a pair of glasses.

Story

Blank Slates 2

Daniel James was a disguise used by David Franco during his time in 2007 so that he wouldn't stand out. Daniel James would go on to apprehend GenericChallenge. After finding the true location of Mr. Row, Daniel James would be sent back to bring him to the Developer's Grove. It is unknown whether the personage of Daniel James became a character, or if he was already a character, in the Human realm after these events.

Blank Slates 3

Daniel James appears again when Franco Key goes on another search for GenericChallenge, finding himself in Belleview in 2008. He spends most of his time in Belleview explaining the video game-nature of their universe to Uncle Owen. He recruits Uncle Owen to help search for GenericChallenge and he attempts to return to the Developer's Grove, but fails, stranding himself in Belleview.

The 35

2015

Seven years later, Daniel James returns to Belleview for Mike's graduation, meeting with Uncle Owen that night. Owen asks if the Shadows were gone for good, and Daniel James is hopeful.

2025

Over the next decade, Uncle Owen and Daniel James became good friends, and they decide to go out for dinner at Cesaros. He later continues searching for GenericChallenge and living in Uptown Belleview until he is able to move back to Belleview in 2042.
