- Heather Dating Sim was originally going to be a Ren'Py based visual novel, but this idea was scrapped due to GuyThatExists' lack of time and python knowledge.
- A visual novel version of the story is planned to release sometime after being published on Archive of Our Own, however.
- A demo of the full game, only containing the first chapter, is planned to be released during Summer 2022.
