The Compass Array is an item created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Blank Slates 3 that Willham uses to track the locations of the screener's blue smog. It was partially destroyed by the Tree King crushing the Guardians' HQ, and then totally destroyed by Temte Mapleleaf while she created The Abyss.
Appearance[edit]
The Compass Array is a row of six compasses, each identical. The needle in each compass points towards one of the six pieces of blue smog, Willham, Mayo (inside Temte), and Monk (split into the Four Guardians). The name of the person that each compass tracks is written under their compass.
Story[edit]
The Compass Array was created by Monk to track the locations of Willham, Mayo, and themself. However, after Monk split into the Four Guardians, the Array was modified to to track the two screeners and Four Guardians.
Many years later, Willham would retrieve the Compass Array to track where Tombstone and the other Guardians were, since Tombstone had absorbed Mill, and the other Guardians had been knocked out of their bodies.
Later, when the Tree King is killed on top of the HQ, destroying part of the building, his body crushes the compasses for Willham, Mayo, and Warrior. After Tombstone's defeat, Willham analyzes Mayo's compass to try and locate Temte Mapleleaf, who had been containing Mayo's smog, but fails. The Array is eventually destroyed when Temte from the past destroys The Void, creating The Abyss.
