Apprentice is a Raposa Toy repurposed by GuyThatExists that appears in the short story Blank Slates 2 and Blank Slates 3 as a minor character.

She is one of the primary characters in the Two Realms Plains, and she helps fight against the Shadow Squid and the Tree King. She later joins Crawler's LARPing Group and helps fight against Tombstone. She is eventually ejected into canon by Temte Mapleleaf.

Appearance

Apprentice is a female Raposa with brown hair who wears a blue robe and a blue wizard's hat with a pink ribbon around it. She also has a red undershirt and a pink skirt, with a red scarf around her neck. The wooden wand she carries has a red ribbon tied around it.

Story

Blank Slates 2

Apprentice is first seen when Hans, Zak, and Mac arrive in the Two Realms Plains looking for Hose. Apprentice, Sorcerer, SuperRapo, and Violet all agree to help them search, most of them unaware that Violet was truly Hose's new body. During their search, they encounter Gingerfre and Red Dragon, and the group interrogates them, learning about the Tree King and his plans.

Later on, when the Shadow and Color beams begin to land in the Two Realms Plains, Apprentice gets into a brief fight with the newly formed Shadow and Ink creatures, but it is stopped by Gingerfre. However, a piece of the Jungle Creature starts to absorb the creatures, creating the Shadow Squid. Apprentice and Sorcerer start working together to take down the monster, and they eventually due thanks to the contributions of Violet and Lambert.

Apprentice then leaves with the screeners, the Four Guardians, Sorcerer, and SuperRapo to go stop the new Tree King in the Wii Village. She later goes on to help move the injured and deceased Droogles off the battlefield.

Blank Slates 3

Two years later, Apprentice watches as Crawler and Sorcerer LARP. She also watches as SuperRapo crashes the scene and is sent to the side, sitting next to Apprentice. She consoles him, and asks him about his character - Sir Shoehorn. She likes his ideas about the character but is summoned into the scene by Sorcerer. However Tombstone erupts from the Drawn to Life Village, so the LARPers head to the village to take it down.

She arrives with the rest of the LARPing Group and watches as Crawler, Sorcerer, Rocket Vulture, and Violet take Tombstone down. She would accompany the Group back to the Two Realms Plains after Tombstone was revived and would stay behind when Tombstone attacked the Shadow Village. Later, after Crawler tells the LARPing Group not to ascend, he tells the Group that they would return to the Baki Temple, as Apprentice, SuperRapo, Sorcerer, and some others were not a part of the LARPing Group when they last visited. SuperRapo reluctantly agrees to travel to the Temple, but Apprentice eggs him on, and they arrive after a quick pit stop at the Guardians' HQ.

Once at the Temple, Apprentice and SuperRapo run in and find high-jump platform shoes, drill gloves, and a fake coat of Shadow, finalizing SuperRapo's design of Sir Shoehorn and letting Apprentice create a new persona - Madam Bootjack. On their journey back to the Guardians' HQ to regroup with everyone, they LARP as their characters until they arrive. Eventually, they join the final fight against Tombstone, using their drill gloves to block the Droogle Killer's skeleton from hitting the Droogle army. Eventually, Apprentice is captured by Tombstone's tentacle limbs, and Temte Mapleleaf is forced to eject her into canon. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Maybe you could find the last bit of Sir Shoehorn’s toolkit!” –Apprentice “Really? Did you get anything last time you visited?” –Apprentice “And so is his trusty partner, Madam Bootjack!” –Apprentice “Kick some ass.” –Apprentice
