Fox is a Fox created by GuyThatExists that appears in the short stories Blank Slates, Blank Slates 2, and Blank Slates 3 as a supporting character, and in Salem Rose Pt. 1 as a minor character.

He was brought to life by Shadow Mari's attack on The Void, but was subsequently erased during Willham's attack on The Next Chapter Village. He was brought back to life later on, and he helps fight Salem Rose. He would later go on to help fight against the Tree King and become the Mayor of the Drawn to Life Village. Fox would also be a key player in the fight against Tombstone, helping the battles at the Drawn to Life Village, Shadow Village, and Two Realms Plains. He was ejected into canon by Temte Mapleleaf at the end of the final fight with Tombstone, and his current whereabouts are unknown.

Appearance

Fox is a bipedal, orange and white furred fox. He has white eyes, a tuft of hair on his chest, and a large bushy tail.

Story

Blank Slates

Fox first appears when Lavasteam's third page rises from the floor of The Void after Shadow Mari's attack. He immediately teams up with Rocko and asks to go to the Wii Village in order to find his friend Jinxy. As Rocko and Fox navigate their way through the village and fight some of the enemies, they notice that Willham is deleting the village, so they hurry to Jinxy and tell him to jump out of the way. After nearly avoiding Willham's attack, Fox and Jinxy watch as Rocko convinces the screener to take them to The Next Chapter Village. They question Rocko on his reasoning, but bear with him as they travel to the village.

When they make it to the village, Willham gets mad at the group and leaves them, and they soon notice Alana driving around, so they stop her to ask her questions. She points them in the direction of Fiora and Lambert, but Mayo then joins the group and asks what they're doing. Before they can answer, the page of the village begins to turn, so the group makes their way to the other side of the village to meet up with Fiora, Lambert, and Nolan. When they make it there, Willham sweeps over them, deleting the village and multiple people from the group, including Fox.

Eventually, Shadow Mari sends beams of Shadow through the void again, bringing Fox back to life.

Salem Rose Pt. 1

Fox is seen when Salem Rose, a corrupted version of Miles, comes to The Void. As Salem Rose makes his speech to the residents of the void, Fox is among those who attack him, joining Crawler, Rocket Vulture, Jinxy, Shadow Mari, and Willham. Jinxy and Fox both grab Salem Rose's legs as Crawler, Shadow Mari, and Willham trap him. Jinxy and Fox let go as Rocket Vulture explodes on the bubble Salem Rose was trapped in, revealing that he had already portaled away.

Blank Slates 2

Fox is first seen when he runs back to the Drawn to Life Village, arriving just in time to see Barks take out Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow with an energy blast. Fox joins Barks as he runs off towards the Red Dragon and Gingerfre, learning that Ore had possessed his body, becoming Hoopz.

When they catch up to the bosses, they find Gingerfre in an alley picking up a Shadow Stone, so Hoopz knocks him out, and Fox kicks the stone out of the alley. Fox helped Hoopz bind the two bosses, giving them a chance to interrogate them. However, during the interrogation, Gingerfre outsmarts the two of them, retaking the Shadow Stone and escaping the village. Fearing the worst, Hoopz and Fox decide to resurrect the Droogle Killer.

After setting the Droogle Killer on Red Dragon, Fox and Hoopz stumble upon Rocko and Nolan, who had come looking for Hoopz. The four of them join forces and head back to the Guardians' HQ, where they meet Violet and learn that the rest of the Guardians were at the Color Vat. The five of them decide to join them, and the Guardians reunite at the Vat, while Fox, Rocko, and Nolan reunite with Fiora and Lambert.

Fox and his friends watch as the Guardians take on the Tree King, Squid, and the Jungle Creature, and he is left behind when the Guardians, now including Lambert, leave for the Two Realms Plains. However, he watches as Sandal is possessed by a piece of the Jungle Creature and destroys the house they were in, absorbing Rocko in the process. Eventually, Lambert returns and restores Sandal, and Fox stays behind to help Rocko get back home, noting that his memories were hazy.

Blank Slates 3

Two years later, Fox is seen mobilizing against the final piece of the Jungle Creature - Tombstone. Fox first heads towards the Droogle Killer, awakening it and sending it against Tombstone. Afterwards, he runs to check on the Droogle army and Pot, who he energizes for the fight, and Fox then heads for the main gate to meet the fighters from the other villages that were converging on Tombstone. After giving his battle plan to Heathers, Fox rejoins the fight, freezing Tombstone's legs in place. As Tombstone escapes the ice however, Fox retreats to his office and calls for all the villagers to evacuate the Drawn to Life Village.

After making his announcement, Fox regrouped with Repair Guy, Lambert, and Sandal, all of whom had just arrived, and the four of them continue fighting Tombstone. The combined forces of Fox, his friends, and the eventual arrival of Crawler's LARPing Group are enough to take Tombstone out. Everyone gathers outside the Drawn to Life Village to discuss what to do next, but Gingerfre and his Shadow army arrive and accidentally revive Tombstone, allowing it to grow a bubble of smog around the village, taking it for itself. Before retreating to the Two Realms Plains with everyone else, Fox sits with Repair Guy and Jinxy, who all lament the loss of the village.

After the meeting in the Two Realms Plains, Fox is seen sitting in silence with Repair Guy and Pot, all lost in thought. However, they are snapped out of it when Cecil arrives with his militia, wanting to introduce them to the three. After introductions are made, Fox, Repair Guy, and Pot admire their courage but explain that the fight against Tombstone would be much more than just a fight of spirit. However, Cecil deflects their objections when they all spot the Droogle Leader and Droogle Countess reuniting. Fox, Repair Guy, Pot, and the Militia eavesdrop on their conversation, eventually alerting Mill to them. When Tombstone attacks the Shadow Village, Fox elects to stay in the Plains.

After Tombstone takes over the Shadow Village, Fox, Repair Guy, Crawler, and Sorcerer announce to the remaining people in the Plains - the LARPing Group and Militia - that they need to ascend into the Developer's Grove. After making their announcement, Crawler comes up to Repair Guy and Fox and invites them to travel to the Baki Temple for weapons and armor. However, Fox and Repair Guy respond harshly, so Crawler offers to help hash out their issues. Fox asks the two of them if he was a bad mayor, and Crawler and Repair Guy reassure him that he wasn't. Fox asks Repair Guy what was on his mind, and he admits that he was still thinking about his daughter. Fox and Crawler suggest that he ascend into the Grove to look for her, and the two of them would check on The Next Chapter Village for him. On their way out, Fox and Crawler join up with Racoomie and Mew Pod to go check on The Next Chapter Village.

When the four of them arrive at the Village, they find it nearly deserted, save for Gargoyle, who joins them in searching the Village. Eventually, they stumble upon the Color Vat, where they find Stocking sitting at the bottom. When he emerges, Gargoyle convinces him to join their group. At the same time, Tombstone emerges from the Two Realms Plains, so the group all jumps into Stocking's cap and teleport back to the Plains to fight it. Once fighting, Fox joins with Crawler and Fiora in blasting Tombstone's legs, using his ice powers to attempt to freeze Tombstone in place. However, when Tombstone blows fire onto the ice, melting it, Fox deduces that it had absorbed Red Dragon, so he begins freezing Tombstone's undead Droogle army instead.

During the fight, Fox notices Racoomie and Mew Pod facing off against Goldie, seeing her infect the two of them with her Shadow. After Fiora blasts them with God Rays, saving Mew Pod but not Racoomie, Fox freezes a rabid Racoomie in place, intending to help him more after Tombstone is defeated. Returning to the fight, Fox teams up with Shadow Mari, giving her Shadow an elemental edge, though their combined attacks do little against Tombstone. As the fight slows, Fox realizes that Tombstone isn't fighting back, and they pause to see what Tombstone does. However, the blobs of Shadow that Tombstone had been launching during the battle all suddenly erupt into smog bubbles, fully encasing the Plains in a bubble bigger than those covering the Drawn to Life and Shadow Villages. Fox and the others retreat back to the Guardians' HQ to regroup with everyone else.

At the HQ, Willham addresses the remaining fighters in The Void, planning for the final battle against Tombstone. Hans requests a group of fighters to come help him move God Ray armor and weapons, so Fox and Jinxy decide to join him. However, as the three of them make their way back to Hans' workshop, Tombstone emerges from the Plains bubble, summoning the body of Drakon from the Drawn to Life Village bubble, setting him on the Wii Village. Hans quickly tosses Fox and Jinxy God Ray Chestplates, which they put on. Fox and Jinxy then assist Hans in imbuing weapons with God Rays for the Droogle army. As the Shadow army, the Tree King, and a few others fought Drakon outside, Fox, Jinxy, and Hans all ran back to the Plains - where the Droogle army was fighting Tombstone - with weapons in tow.

When they arrive back at the fight, Fox and Jinxy hand out weapons and charms to the fighters, and Fox continues fighting with his elemental abilities. As the fight rages on, and they don't seem to be doing much damage, Fox asks the group if they had any other ideas, prompting the Tree King, who had returned, to attempt to enter his ninth life, asking Willham to delete him as many times as necessary. Fox asks for other ideas, but Tombstone attempts to absorb everyone, trapping nearly every fighter, including Fox, in a Shadow limb. This forces Temte Mapleleaf to eject everyone stuck in the limb into canon for their own safety, including Fox. His current whereabouts are unknown.

You’re working with the biggest terrorist since Mayo and that’s all you have to tell us?” –Fox “What!? How’d you get that?” –Fox “Are we just gonna let them get away?” –Fox “You could fly as Ore, so why can’t you fly as Hoopz?” –Fox “What’s up you guys? I thought you were helping with the Guardian’s bodies.” –Fox “What happened out there?” –Fox “You beat most of them! Plus we’re all capable of holding our own in a fight.” –Fox “I can’t believe they’d just abandon us like that!” –Fox “Wow, I never could’ve pieced that together. Thanks for the explanation.” –Fox “Rocko!! No!!! Alright, that’s it. Let’s prove to the Guardians that we can hold our own in a fight, right here, right now!” –Fox

“Alright buddy! Time to wake up again! We’re in a really bad spot right now, and we really need your help!” –Fox “You ready Pot?” –Fox “Go help the Droogle Killer. It’s massive, but it can still only take five hits before we lose it.” –Fox “We pincer. The Droogle Countess is mobilizing the army, and with everyone coming here, we’ll have more than enough firepower to take this thing out once and for all.” –Fox “Everyone in the Drawn to Life Village needs to evacuate immediately. Grab your essentials and your families and run. I repeat, evacuate the Drawn to Life Village immediately.” –Fox “We can’t. The Jungle Creature won this fight.” –Fox “Well, I guess we need to head over there with everyone else.” –Fox “Oh, sorry Cecil. So, what’s the rundown?” –Fox “We’re ready!!” –Fox “Cecil… All six of you actually… We appreciate that you guys want to help, and we need all the help we can get.” –Fox “Y’know? I’ll take you up on it. Am I a bad mayor?” –Fox “Am I a bad mayor? It’s a simple question. Because it seems like every time I try to get involved, something goes wrong with my village.” –Fox “Are you sure? I get brought to life and manage to last maybe an hour or two before dying. I become mayor of the Drawn to Life Village, and Salem Rose kills Tomohawk right outside our doors and we don’t notice. Gingerfre is able to attack us with no repercussions. Jungle Creature hides in the tombs of the Droogles, and I can’t even stop it in its weakest state. Not to mention all the other Droogles who died just now in the Shadow Village. Maybe it was never in the cards for me. Maybe I should’ve passed the torch to a Guardian or Willham. Hell, the Countess could be in charge, and we’d be better off.” –Fox “Alright then, I’ll take you guys’ word for it. Anything on your chest Repair Guy?” –Fox “That sounds like the perfect setup for a coup. I like that plan though. You head up, I’ll stick with Crawler, and we’ll take care of the village.” –Fox “It’s okay buddy, I’m sure they’ll remember you eventually. Now who wants to explore The Next Chapter Village?” –Fox “Does that mean he got Red Dragon?” –Fox “We can deal with him once Tombstone’s taken care of, let’s move!” –Fox “What’s going on with this thing? It’s like it doesn’t even know we’re fighting it!” –Fox “I’ll go too. You’ll need all the protection you can get.” –Fox “We’re both a type of fox, aren’t we?” –Fox “Does anyone have any ideas other than constant attacking?” –Fox “Any other ideas while we wait for that plan to come to fruition?” –Fox
